Pippo

Pippo is the leader of the group.
He was the first to arrive here, together with Vanessa, from Bologna.
Originally from Sicily, he was adopted from a shelter when he was six months old, after a difficult start in life.
With people, he is cautious, reserved, and quiet.
He does not bark unnecessarily, nor does he seek attention.
But he is always watching — the animals, the people, and the land.
He is the guardian of Casa Beth in the fullest sense of the word.

Neo

Neo is the black cat.

His name comes from The Matrix, and he is the healer of the house.

He was found under a tree in Villasimius on a rainy day.

He shares a deeply symbiotic bond with Vanessa — she often jokes that he is her second husband.

It took him a little longer to accept Massimo, but eventually he won him over too.

Neo always knows where he needs to be, and somehow he always knows it before everyone else.

Ciretta and Margot

Ciretta was found injured by the side of the road after being hit by a car.

The veterinarian soon discovered that she was pregnant.

Vanessa could not bring herself to have her sterilised, and on a beautiful new moon day, Ciretta gave birth to seven kittens.

Margot is one of the kittens who stayed behind with her mother.

Together they watch over the land and the outdoor spaces.

They are the wildest and freest members of the family.

Sibilla

Sibilla is the newest arrival.

She was found in Costa Rei, tiny, undernourished, and with a crooked tail.

Massimo rescued her.

She has now grown into a sweet and joyful cat, although she only does exactly what she wants.

She allows herself to be held only by those she personally approves of.

At night she disappears into the countryside, hunts, wanders, and eventually returns home.

Vanessa affectionately calls her the little witch of the house.

Ettore

Ettore deserves a chapter of his own.

He was literally discovered by Pippo inside a rubbish bin outside the house.

He was less than six weeks old.

From that day on, he completely transformed the lives of everyone around him: the other animals, the neighbours, and the guests.

He slips through the gate whenever he can, spreading joy and chaos in equal measure.

He becomes intensely jealous whenever someone receives attention that he believes should belong to him.

He is Massimo’s loyal companion, and since the day he arrived, Massimo has been his favourite person in the world.

Artù, Rocchi and the hens

Artù is the leader of the flock.

Rocchi arrived later.

He had been bullied by other roosters and was in poor condition when he was rescued.

He was given his own coop, along with the time and space he needed to recover.

And recover he did.

Today he is strong, healthy, and proud — with chicks of his own.

The hens joined the family gradually over time.

Every morning they gift us fresh eggs: real food, simple and genuine, and part of what Casa Beth brings to the table every day.
